A$AP Rocky's currently gearing up to drop his third studio album, Testing. He initially kicked off the campaign by releasing three singles back to back on Soundcloud to test the waters. He later kicked the campaign off officially when he released his single, "Bad Company" featuring Blocboy JB out of the blue and followed it with the Moby-assisted single, "A$AP Forever" which was premiered on Jimmy Fallon. A$AP Rocky is one of the most progressive thinkers in the game but many were still caught off guard that he tapped Moby for his latest single. However, the strength of that feature has helped Moby receive some commercial success that he hasn't seen in the past 17 years.
After A$AP Rocky sampled Moby's song "Porcelain" off of Play for "A$AP Forever," Moby appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time since 2001, Billboard reports. The last time he was on the charts was for his song "South Side" featuring Gwen Stefani which peaked at no. 14 on the charts in May 2001.
Interestingly enough, "Porcelain" which Rocky sampled for "A$AP Forever" never actually charted on the Billboard Hot 100. However, the song did chart on both Billboard's Adult Alternative Songs and Alternative Songs charts.
Moby's still managed to appear on other Billboard charts since then including the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart including his most recent album, Everything Was Beautiful, And Nothing Hurt.
