Lord Felix readies the arrival of "In Bloom."

You don't need to know what Lord Felix looks like to know that he's up next.

There's something impalpable about the guy. It might just be the conspicuous buffer created by the reflective headgear that keeps his identity concealed at all times, but its alluring nonetheless and it doesn't hurt that he has the musical chops to back up the appeal.

Currently, the Brockton, MA native is prepping the release of his debut In Bloom, Forever project, set to invade our ears sometime before the end of the year. But, before that arrives he's blessed us with the Donato-produced "Nothing." A rhythmic and sublime backdrop sets the stage for an airy and addictive tune that doubles as a fitting introduction to anyone getting to know Lord Felix for the first time.

"The project pretty much describes the summer of 2016," Felix tells us. "[It was] where I went through my first heartbreak and a big family death which led to a deep depression."

The first cut to spur from that period was his own take of KAYTRANADA's "WEIGHT OFF," and he's kept us on our toes ever since. Take a listen to "Nothing," and let it marinate while we await the arrival of In Bloom.

Quotable Lyrics:

Violate the beat then I wrap it with a bow
Started with the clothes then I dabbled with the flows
Who the hell would think that from the concrete came a rose?
Been the illest in the state since Bell, Biv, DeVoe
