The Neighbourhood can't count their lucky stars that they got a Denzel Curry verse at the current rate. The NY "rock" outfit traversed into parts unknown and was granted some form of acceptance from their talented guests. Denzel was only the first of many.. well three others: Ghostface Killah, Nipsey Hussle and Idk (formerly Jay Idk). Only once does the 5-piece band venture alone, and when they do, it's under more traditional lines.
But what's of interest here is the Denzel Curry opening verse, where the Florida rapper needlessly proves that he can gain traction over any type of beat construction, even the rock bands of the World. The Neighbourhood's new hip hop venture comes 6 months after the group first tasted success with their self-titled album, peaking at 61 on the Billboard 200.
Enjoy.
Quotable Lyrics:
Yo, I drop gems like a bad jewel thief from Kool Keith
Doctor Octagon, with a delivery from the Octamom
The unibomber with a unibrow
I stay connected, I make sure that the globe gets infected
Explosion, earthquakes, mudslides, erosion
Global domination, I'ma set it to a motion
Emotion only for the weaker being
Make sure that nobody see and
Show my intellect 'cause I'm a evil genius.
