Rapper Lil Scrappy appears on stage during a taping of MTV's Sucker Free Spankin Free Music at MTV Times Square Studios on September 18, 2006 in New York City.
Security camera footage of the incident has been revealed.

It was very unfortunate to hear that Atlanta rapper Lil Scrappy had suffered a serious car accident yesterday, resulting him being sent to the hospital in serious condition. Scrappy and his friend, Ca$ino Roulette, has been driving down a Miami street after leaving the King of Diamonds strip club in the morning, when the car crashed head first into a pole.

While their Scrappy or Ca$ino were able to explain what had happened, the police opted not to press charges over the incident, as there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol being involved. Today, TMZ has uncovered security camera footage of the incident, and based on the video, Scrappy probably feels lucky to be alive.

The video shows a car, moving fast and swerving off the road, slamming right into the pole. The car bounces off it, looking suitably messed up. The police and paramedics arrive soon afterwards.

TMZ also received an audio recording of the 911 call made after the accident. A woman, who is unrelated to the incident, calls in to tell them about two men in a white Mercedes who were caught in a horrible car accident.

There's never a good time to have a major accident, but the timing is especially bad for Lil Scrappy. His latest album, Confident, is set to drop tomorrow, June 8th. Hopefully Scrappy and Ca$ino will be able to recover soon and celebrate the launch of the album. Check out the footage from the accident, and the audio of the 911 call below.
