Mark Stalling, who played Puck in the hit series "Glee", has been reported dead at 35, per The Hollywood Reporter. Salling had previously pleaded guilty of possession of child pornography, and was due for sentencing on March 7th. Salling was expected to serve between four and seven years in prison, register as a sex offender, and pay fifty thousand in damages to any victim who submitted a restitution request. While the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed, TMZ has claimed the actor died in an apparent suicide.
According to TMZ's initial report, Salling's body was found after police received a call to do a "welfare check." Afterward, law enforcement ended up finding Salling's body at a baseball field in Sunland. The actor was best known for his role on "Glee," where he played Noah Puckerman for several seasons. His story took a dark turn in 2015, when he was arrested for possession of child pornography; authorities reportedly found over 50,000 images of child pornography on his laptop, along with a thumb drive containing additional images. According to federal prosecutors, some of the victims were between the ages of three and five years old.
The story is still developing.
