Apple is taking the necessary steps to not only be known for their electronic devices but also health care services that will be available to their thousands of employees.
A new report from Computer World provides significant evidence that Apple is set to open its own private health care system dubbed AC Wellness in Santa Clara County. The publication notes how this may be a strategic move for the company since they are are coughing up significant fees to provide health care for its employees already - so why not create their own plan?
"AC Wellness Network believes that having trusting, accessible relationships with our patients, enabled by technology, promotes high-quality care and a unique patient experience," the official website states. "The centers offer a unique concierge-like healthcare experience for employees and their dependents."
These private clinics are seemingly the first move to a larger plan of public health centers. The publication notes how Apple is already tracking the health of users with the Apple Watch and how the data "can now be deployed and privately tested against a huge population."
“Health is a huge issue around the world and we think it’s ripe for simplicity and a new view,” Apple CEO Tim Cook previously stated, adding how he thinks Apple can make a “significant contribution” in the sector.
