Young Dolph has upped his game of late in terms of his conceptual video output. "By Mistake" is hardly the first of his music video to have that "motion picture" feel. Not to mention, Young Dolph scores directorial credits alongside noted hip hop impresario Jordan Spencer. Could a Lebron-esque transition into film lie ahead for the Memphis stalwart, only time will tell?
In "By Mistake," Dolph goes with the narrative flow of a misadventure with the cops. Once pulled over by a patrolman, Dolph does the unimaginable blowing smoke into his face upon inspection. The subversive reality of Dolph paying off the police force ends in the rapper and his date taking up shop next to a chop suey stand. Only in America can we dream as big as the moon up above.
Young Dolph release the single as iTunes freebie several hours ago. It's worth noting that Young Dolph became the unlikeliest of rappers to speak out against drunk driving, in the first passage of the song. Much respect!
