T.I's latest single, the Meek Mill-assisted "Jefe," is driven by Latin flavor. Therefore, it's no surprise that the new visuals are rich in homage to Mexican culture, borrowing iconography from the stunning Dios De Los Muertos. In that regard, Tip and Meek Mill find themselves partying alongside skull-painted baddies and equally adorned outlaws, who have made no qualms with sneaking the blunderbuss through coat check. On a purely visual level, "Jefe" is an impressive feat, with particular shout-outs to the costume department.
Both performers fare comfortably South of the Border, as their guests seem more than willing to make their acquaintance. T.I., in particular, appears to have made himself at home, showing ample respect to those sensually dancing in his vicinity. Though Tip has lately been getting by on an endearing dose of dad-charm, his lyrical chops remain sharp, and he delivers throughout "Jefe" with a veteran's poise and swagger. Peep the visuals now.
