Tekashi 6ix9ine has seen a meteoric rise to success over the past few months thanks to songs like “Gummo,” “Kooda” & “Keke,” as well as his controversial antics & colorful image. Whether you’re with his movement or hate it, there’s no denying the fact he’s doing big numbers and making history on Billboard with all three of his first releases charting. But now, after hinting at a new $7.5 million dollar record deal with the so-called “Illuminati,” Tekashi announced that his highly anticipated debut project will finally be dropping February 23rd, and today we have a little taste of what's to come.
Tekashi took to his Instagram Monday night to preview an upcoming song with Toronto crooner Tory Lanez on it. 6ix9ine captioned the in-studio clip with: “25,000 comments if you want to here this ‼️‼️‼️ @torylanez VIDEO or MP3?? FEBUARY 23RD MY DEBUT PROJECT WILL RELEASE ‼️‼️‼️ WHO CANT WAIT ⁉️⁉️⁉️ AM I 4/4 ON BILLBOARD CHARTS.”
It's unclear what the song will be called, but from what we can hear, Tory will handle the strip club-friendly chorus & hook, while Tekashi delivers his signature aggressive & boisterous raps about not messing with no lames & “tough niggas.”
“I aint playing with no wanna be tough nigga, I aint playing with no wanna be thug nigga/ In the hood you a rat, you a dumb nigga/ Fuck nigga I sleep with the blicky/ Are you dumb nigga?” Tekashi spits.
There’s no word when the song will be dropping, but based on the caption's request, it SHOULD be dropping very soon, like this week soon.
While we wait, check out a preview of the forthcoming collab and let us know what you think! Who else would you like to see Tekashi work with?
