After signing a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music, Jay-Z's catalogue will now be published by them with other Roc Nation members signing soon.

Jay-Z continues to expand his global reach as his Roc Nation company signed a worldwide publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music.  The current deal will see Jigga’s work from 2008 to present included, and a separate deal is pending which will include the rest of the Roc Nation roster.

Covering his catalogue to 2008 until present, and also including his future work, the rest of Jay’s tracks and albums will move to Warner/Chappell by the end of the year.  The Brooklyn rap icon credits his close relationship with Warner/Chappell’s President Creative, Jon Platt, as the reason for the deal.  Speaking on his relationship with Platt, he says, “The real meaning of success is being in the position to work with an individual you consider a friend.  Jon Platt is such a person. He's a man of extraordinary character as well as a remarkably talented executive with an ear for music and an eye for talent. It's great to watch him grow to be one the best in the business."

Billboard reports the future deal will see the remainder of the roster on Roc Nation move over too including Philip Lawrence, S1, Carmen Kay, Rita Ora, and more.

In a statement, Platt talks about his relationship with Jigga as being integral in the partnership, "I first partnered with Jay in 1996, and it’s been thrilling to work with my friend over the past 16 years as he’s grown into one of the world’s best songwriters and become a global icon.”  Speaking on the Roc, he says, “Roc Nation is one of the most dynamic and influential music companies around. It is home to an extraordinary collection of hit-makers, who are writing and producing many of today’s most popular songs and collaborating with the world’s most successful artists.”
