Looks like Drake, 31, and Paul Anka, 76, got some heat on the way.

Drake has undoubtedly helped put a spotlight on not only Toronto but Canada as a whole. As much as he's categorized as a rapper, he's transcended into a pop artist who's made an impact on pop culture as a whole. However, he still puts on for Toronto and Canada, despite the fact that he's constantly in America. Now, it looks like he's about to connect with one of Canada's most celebrated singer-songwriters for a collaboration that nobody would've ever expected, even Canadians.

Canadian music legend, Paul Anka, 76, announced that his collaboration with Drake is coming in the next few weeks. Anka is know for his songs like  "Diana" and "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" and has also co-wrote songs with Michael Jackson and wrote songs for Tom Jones. Last night at the Canadian Music and Broadcast Industry Awards, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from Michael Bublé. During his speech, he revealed that his collaboration with Drake will be dropping in June.

“I’m working with a brilliant young artist who is as hot as you can get right now, a fellow young Canadian and his name is Drake. We recorded something that will be released, out in June. That’s all I can tell you," he said.

Bublé then added, "As well as I know Paul... You will never get used to Paul Anka calling you and saying [imitates showbiz voice], ‘Oh my god, that Drake got some phat beats. Honestly. This dude’s flow is terribly sick.’ -- and I’m not joking. That is real.”

Anka first teased the collaboration in February when he posted a picture alongside Paul Anka on the 'Gram. "One of the great nights...lots to follow! Love working with Drake!" he captioned the photo.

Maybe we'll see this collaboration on Drake's upcoming album Scorpion which also happens to be dropping next month. Who knows but we're definitely curious to see how the two Canadian artists from different generations connect.
