"Toughness is the thing that they most fear."

Donald Trump is once again stirring the pot when it comes to his proposed laws and regulations. The President's new plan to crack down on the opioid drug addiction is to have more strict enforcement on drug traffickers, such as the death penalty.

"This isn't about nice anymore," Donald said, via CBC News. "This is about winning a very, very tough problem and if we don't get very tough on these dealers it's not going to happen folks… I want to win this battle."

Opioids, heroin and synthetic drugs such as fentanyl killed more than 42,000 people in the U.S., the publication reports. Donald argues that if one person can get the death penalty or life in prison for shooting one person, then a drug dealer who potentially kills thousands should get the same punishment.

Some professors have spoken on the matter such as Cornell Law School Professor John H. Blume, who stated that this move will not affect the "kingpins" of the drug trade, but rather the poor minorities who are low- to mid-level drug dealers.

"I don't think there's any reason to believe that attempting to revive this policy and use it more effectively will be any more successful," John said, in reference to the drug war of the 1970s and '80s. "I don't think people out there who sell drugs are worried about, am I going to get the death penalty?"

What do you guys think?
