As reported by the infallible TMZ, it seems the IRS has hit Roc-a-Fella Records co-founder Dame Dash with a $2.8 million tax lien. Also a co-founder of the Rocawear clothing line, Dash has been open about his financial troubles, having recently stated that he owes back taxes in both New York and New Jersey, and has lost "multiple properties to foreclosure stating."
Well, the numbers have since come in, and he apparently owes tax money for the years 2005 and 2011, the grand total of which equals $2,802,262.30.
Here's hoping Dash makes it out of this okay. Unfortunately, Fat Joe and Lauryn Hill are about to do time for similar offenses.
