Kirk Knight maneuvers through competition with a respectable stiff-arm.

Should you be sleeping on Kirk Knight, you might be wise to open your eyes. The young producer slash rapper has been quietly holding it down for the Pro Era movement, and now, it would appear his time has come. Last night, Kirk released "Run It Back," the lead single off his forthcoming album, tentatively titled It Is What It Is. Though brief in nature, he manages to showcase his ample toolkit with efficiency, having cooked up a formidable instrumental for his own pleasure.

"Sixteen, took a flight on my birthday, Seventeen, moved into my first place," raps Kneezy, "me and Joseph overseas, we don't parlay." He continues along those lines, proving that he's as capable on the mic as he is behind the boards. "I'm in my bag like I'm drawing my weapon, my first thought, never coming in second, I'm fighting this gin off, you thought it was Tekken," he raps, referring to the iconic Tekken character Jin Kazama. It seems the geeks have truly risen to prominence.

Quotable Lyrics

Autographing the fans with the Sharpie
Mercedes-Benz on the car keys
I was bad at math, still counting these blessings
I'm in my bag like I'm drawing my weapon
My first thought, never coming in second
I'm fighting this gin off, you thought it was Tekken
