Rowdy Ronda Rousey is officially on the WWE roster.
At the conclusion of last night's Royal Rumble PPV, following the first ever women's Royal Rumble match, Rousey emerged, pointed to the WrestleMania 34 sign and shook Stephanie McMahon's hand.
Rousey, 29, made a name for herself as the UFC's Bantamweight champion but has not fought since losing to Amanda Nunes in 2016. She tells ESPN's Ramona Shelburne that her number one priority now is competing in the WWE for the next few years.
Per ESPN,
"This is my life now. First priority on my timeline for the next several years. This is not a smash-and-grab; this is not a publicity stunt," Rousey told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne of her decision to join WWE. "When I first met with Triple H, I told him, 'There are other things I can do with my time that'll make way more money, but I won't enjoy nearly as much.'"
"I don't have words at all," Rousey told Shelburne of her experience Sunday night. "I'm like -- this is the most overstimulated I've ever been in my life and ... I'm just, like I'm still processing it.
"I'm so happy and I don't have words for it -- and I usually have words for everything; This never happened before."
Rousey's Wrestlemania 34 plans remain unclear but there are several rumored matches, including a showdown against SmackDown Women's champion Charlotte Flair, or a tag team match alongside The Rock against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
