DB 6s returning in November?

Each Fall, Nike partners with Doernbecher Children's Hospital for an exclusive collection of sneakers, designed by the hospital's young patients, with 100% of the proceeds benefitting OHSU Doernbecher. According to Nike, the annual Doernbecher Collection started out as an idea from Connor Doherty, the son of Nike Creative Director and OHSU Doernbecher Foundation board member Michael Doherty. His suggestion — enabling the hospital’s young patients to engage their imaginations by designing their very own Nike sneakers — formalized in 2003 as the OHSU Doernbecher Freestyle program.

This November, Nike and Doernbecher will continue their Freestyle Collection. While Nike has not yet unveiled what's in store, it is being reported that one of the all-time classic Doernbecher Air Jordans will be making a return. According to sneaker source @Zsneakerheadz, there's an Air Jordan 6 in the works featuring a “Midnight Navy/Varsity Red-Metallic Gold-White” color combo, which is the same as the beloved "Doernbecher" Air Jordan 6. The limited edition Doernbecher 6s originally released in 2009 and are now only available at consignment shops where they carry a $1,500+ price tag.

In addition to the DB 6s, Sneaker News reports that the Nike Air Max 97, Air Force 1 Low and Nike Zoom Fly SP will also be featured in the 2018 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection.
