In honor of the national weed appreciation day on April 20th, Nike has plans to release a festive sneaker which was designed by illustrator and skate artist, Todd Bratrud.
The Nike SB Dunk Mid "White Widow" is inspired by the beloved hybrid weed strain, featuring a hairy, mint green and sail suede upper accompanied by red branding for obvious reasons. Additionally, the kicks feature a secretive stash pocket under the tongue and a hazy-eyed arachnid on the insoles, which serves as a further nod to the "White Widow" moniker.
According to reports the kicks will release at select Nike retailers on Friday, 4/20, for the retail price of $100.
Nike has recently several marijuana-inspired Dunks over the years, most notably the "Skunk" Nike SB Dunk High and the "Cheech & Chong" joints, but as of now it appears this "White Widow" rendition of the SB Dunk Mid will be the only weed-related release this week.
