LaVar Ball pulled his sons LiAngelo and LaMelo out of Lithuania last month but Big Baller Brand's European experiment isn't over just yet. While LiAngelo Ball prepares to take part in the NBA Draft combine and pre-draft camps, 16-year old LaMelo will likely continue playing overseas since he won't be draft eligible until 2020.
On the most recent episode of the Ball family's facebook reality show, "Ball In The Family," LaVar Ball hinted that LaMelo could be headed to Poland. During the episode, LaVar headed to Gdynia, Poland to tour the facilities of Asseco Gdynia, one of the top teams in Polish basketball history.
“To me, this Polish team I think is going to be right for Melo. The next move could be here … The facility looks amazing: nice, big offices, weight rooms and nutritional rooms, it just got a better, professional feel about it.”
According to Bleacher Report, in 14 games with Vytautas, not counting the Big Baller Brand Challenge exhibition games, LaMelo averaged just 6.5 points and 2.4 assists in a little over 12.4 minutes in eight games. He shot 26.8% from the field on 15-of-56 shooting.
You can check out the footage in the post below, the Poland visit takes place at the 9:40 mark.
