After hearing this song, I would easily shell out a decent amount of money to watch Jorja Smith perform with a live jazz band. In the past, she's put on a jaw-dropping performance for NPR's Tiny Desk series and while this is a major single, there is still an intimate feeling to "Reason in Disguise." Jorja is in the driver's seat on London band Ezra Collective's latest track. The award-winning jazz group decided to bring Jorja home to the U.K. as she's currently preparing for her Lost & Found tour to hit North America in November.
The collaboration is a beautiful one as the artist sounds very comfortable performing alongside a jazzy group like Ezra Collective. She brings the soul and they follow suit. In short, this is a match made in heaven. Let us know your thoughts on Jorja Smith's new feature on "Reason in Disguise."
Quotable Lyrics:
Something kinda odd has happened here
Saw you once but now you’ve disappeared
Where’d you go? Why you saying that you wouldn’t cry for me?
Well I’ve got enough tears for two
