It's a great time to be alive. Both basketball and hockey have entered the playoffs. While regular season play is entertaining to watch, the playoffs is almost an entirely different game, with players bringing their best physical performances to the forefront. Sidney Crosby is one of those players.
Everyone knows Crosby is a beast. The two-time defending champion led his team to a victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on the strength of one goal and three assists on Sunday. He tied his post-season record with the four-point performance. "When we needed to, we made some good plays, we got some big saves and that’s what you need this time of year,’’ Crosby stated humbly after demolishing the Flyers 5-1. His Pittsburgh Penguins took a 2-1 lead in their first-round Eastern Conference playoff series.
Crosby had a hat trick in Game 1, and the Penguins defeated the Flyers 7-0. Philly came back in Game 2 with a 5-1 victory. The Penguins team captain has collected seven points in three games this postseason, and he has accumulated 93 points in 63 career regular-season games against the Flyers. The Pennsylvania rivals are giving fans exactly what they wanted from the series, amazing action and incredible victories. Game 4 will pick up on Wednesday night in Philadelphia.
