It's looking like a G.O.O.D. week. Both Pusha T and CyHi The Prynce have dropped big mixtapes in the last few days, and Pusha has just revealed that there is plenty of new music from the camp recorded, it's just a question of whether it'll ever make it off of Kanye's hard drive.
The rumor of a sequel to last September's hit compilation, Cruel Summer had a lot of fans excited, but Pusha confirms that while there was a possibility of a follow up comp, the music they've recorded isn't attached to any particular project.
“I believe that there were intentions for a Cruel Winter. And there’s so much music floating, but G.O.O.D. Music isn't one to just piece a project together,” Pusha said. “I can tell you right now, I have probably 15 verses that are just over beats that are laying around wherever Ye and his hard drive are right now.”
Apparently Pusha isn't the only artist with a bunch of material sitting with Ye, but Push feels that the songs won't see release until Kanye's perfectionist tendencies manipulate them to fit a certain project. “And I’m sure CyHi, Sean, Cudi, Tip, everybody has either production or verses on these records as well. But I think Ye really tries to keep the brand in it, keep it up to a certain standard. And piecing together a record like that it’s just not gonna work."
