Tyler's latest musical oeuvre sounds oddly familiar, that's because it essentially is a retread of his Cherry Bomb material. On "PUFF," Tyler re-explores the mellow color wheel he came to discover in 2015. "PUFF" is the latest in a line of stand-alone tracks like “BRONCO,” “PEACH FUZZ,” “Crust in Their Eyes,” and “Potato Salad” with A$AP Rocky, all of which seem to be teasing even zanier levels of golf wang experimentation.
On "PUFF," the radio is turned to its auto-function. A golden voice announces a triple header, free passes are being offered to whoever calls in the 8th position. Then the voice tragically goes off-air which should have killed the daydream right then and there, except this contusion needs another minute or so to properly sort itself out. So much for Tyler going about his business in silence, for once in a lifetime.
Tyler's "PUFF." proves yet again that his ambidextrous nature is a genuine World beater, although we only seem to credit him for half his talent base. I guess we ought to give Tyler a little more recognition for his "worldbuilding" skills.
