Yoda is hands down one of the most beloved characters in all of Star Wars. He first debuted in The Empire Strikes Back, which is widely considered the best Star Wars movie ever. Donald Glover studied the movie to prepare for his upcoming role in Solo: A Star Wars Story... that's how essential Empire is to Star Wars fans. According to a report by New York Daily News, producers are planning to bring Yoda back into the mix in the yet to be titled Star Wars IX film.
“The success of the scenes featuring Yoda in ‘The Last Jedi’ were huge,” stated an insider for NYDN. “Yoda will again appear as a ghost as he acknowledges Rey's success and growth as a Jedi. The scenes are due to be put together later this year.”
Fans of Star Wars either loved or hated The Last Jedi, which was undoubtedly the most divisive film in the entire franchise. Yoda appeared as a Force ghost to Luke, and interacted with the living world by causing lightning to strike the old Jedi temple, and burn it down. It was the first time a Force ghost was able to perform such a feat, and The Last Jedi featured many firsts in the Star Wars universe, such as Luke's epic last battle with Kylo Ren.
