Travis Scott's Astroworld feels imminent. Even so, Travis is still working on music, as we can see from a late night post from producer Vinylz. According to the looped video, which shows Travis seated in the studio recording vocals, the session also included Toronto superproducer Boi-1da, a frequent collaborator of Vinylz'.
Vinylz and Boi-1da previously worked on Travis' "The Hooch" and his early Tinashe collaboration "Vulnerable." Vinylz has also worked with Travis on tracks including "Pick Up The Phone," "The Ends," "Lose," and "Don't Play." Outside of the image, the specifics of what Travis, 1da and Vinylz were working on are unclear.
Travis' next studio album, Astroworld, is still without a release date. It was announced prior to the release of the rapper's 2016 album Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight, and has been teased as "coming soon" for some time. He released "Watch," a pre-release single from the project, which features Kanye West and Lil Uzi Vert, last week. In a recent interview with the L.A. Leakers, he spoke of the upcoming project and the differences between it and his 2015 album Rodeo. "I've been through so much different shit in my time. You know, I've seen so much different stuff now. It's just a different story I have to tell. It's kinda like a more personal album," he said. "I just want people to kind of get to know me and like really get to know the rage inside and really what's going on in my mental, like really what I be thinking."
Last week, a billboard for Astroworld appeared in Houston.
