LeBron James has announced that the "Equality" Nike LeBron 15 PE will be releasing in limited quantities, with all proceeds going directly to supporting the programming of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture.
LeBron debuted the black "Equality" PE during the season opener and then laced up a mismatched pair when the Cavs visited D.C. back in December.
Today, he took to instagram to reveal specific release information about the limited edition sneakers.
"Great morning to all! Basketball is our vehicle but equality is our mission – stand for something positive and do what you can to make a difference!! Proud to announce we’re dropping the “Equality” PE. There’s always a personal connection with a drop - this one goes beyond basketball. Proceeds go to the Smithsonian Natl Museum of African American History & Culture."
400 pairs (200 black and 200 white) will be available in the U.S. through an online drawing - to support and celebrate the commitment to inclusion. Consumers can enter with unlimited $10 per-entry donations or can enter once per shoe size for free. Winners will be randomly selected for either a black or a white pair and are encouraged to find a winner of the alternate color to trade with in order to make a mismatched pair just like LeBron.
You can enter the digital drawing here between 9 am ET today, February 26th and 11:59 pm ET on March 2nd. If you win, you'll get a call or email on March 3rd and will receive your shoes the week of March 5th.
