Offset has finally linked up with Ric Flair and there's beautiful photographic evidence. In a new photo both the rapper and the wrestling legend are rocking the signature robes that Ric Flair donned many a time as part of his costumes in the ring. A look closer also reveals Ric Flair wearing the Nature Boy-inspired chain that Pierre "Pee" Thomas of Quality Control gave Offset for his birthday in December. Ric Flair previously took to social media to thank Offset "for the respect" when the piece was originally unveiled.
As Sunday marked the 69th birthday of the retired wrestler, born Fred Phillips, Offset also took the opportunity to wish him a happy "Drip Day" in the caption as they stood in a familiar pose with their arms extended out, making the "Woo" sound popularized by Phillips during his career.
For those not caught up on the subject, Offset and Ric Flair's budding relationship first found life in the Atlanta emcee's "Ric Flair Drip" collaboration with Metro Boomin off the producer and 21 Savage's joint Without Warning album. The smooth and boastful cut ended up being the effort's standout track, achieving Platinum status and peaking at No. 39 on the Billboard Hot 100.
No word yet on the "when, where, and why" of the link-up, but we're seriously holding out hope that this photo opportunity was the result of some accompanying visuals for the track. Regardless, if this shot isn't for the culutre, we don't know what is.
