Congratulations are in order.

Nipsey Hussle has plenty of reason to be celebrating as the promising numbers for the first week of his Victory Lap debut album have arrived. In a recent tweet, Nayborhood Nip acknowledged that after pushing 53,000 units in its first week, Victory Lap is now comfortably positioned at the No. 4 position on the Billboard Hot 200 charts. Of the 53,000 units, 30,000 were counted as traditional album sales, while 21,000 were grouped under 21,000 SEA streaming equivalent albums and 2,000 accounted for track equivalent albums.

"Proud of our 1st round of Feedback," Nipsey wrote in an enthused tweet. He went on to and that he had more music videos on the way in support of the effort in addition to a tour. Nipsey's debut album arrived on the heels of a new partnership with Atlantic Records under his All Money In imprint. Previously, the Los Angeles rhymer voiced how important it was that he released his debut album under these circumstances as it felt like the best and most organic way to do it.

"I seen a lot of artists be hot for a minute and then that's it and somebody else come in," he previously explained of the move. "To be relevant seven years later, probably more relevant than I was then—to go back into a space with a major label partner to finish what we promised them back then, which was an album; that was important to me. So I just feel like, it's really a victory of doing it our way."
