Sacha Baron Cohen might be the most successful troll of all time. The actor and comedian behind Borat, Da Ali G Show, The Dictator, and Brüno has made audiences around the world cry with laughter. On the fourth of July, Cohen took to Twitter to troll President Donald Trump.
Many of Cohen’s fans believe that the short clip he released on Independence Day aimed at Trump might actually be part of a new film. The clip begins with a title screen that reads “A Message From Donald J. Trump.” Then, a video of the president appears, and he states, “This third-rate character named Sacha Baron Cohen, I only wish he that would’ve been punched in the face so many times right now, he’d be in a hospital.”
“It was disgraceful,” continues Trump. “He ought to be fired immediately. Sacha Baron Cohen, go to school. Learn about being funny. You don’t know sh*t.” The footage of Trump is from 2012 after Cohen’s General Admiral Aladeen from The Dictator dumped an urn on Ryan Seacrest at the Oscars. Trump also tweeted about the incident at the time. Cohen’s clip ends by throwing shade at the infamous Trump University.
