Ty Dolla $ign and Jeremih's collaborative project MihTy did not arrive as scheduled today. In consolation, the two R&B supergroup has shared "New Level," a Lil Wayne-assisted track from the forthcoming album. Produced by Hitmaka, who will be behind the boards throughout, the song finds Ty's textured low-register giving way to Jeremih's piercing high notes, covering the full melodic scale before Wayne enters for a tightly packed verse that never seems to break from its initial rhyme scheme.
The track follows previous single "The Light," released earlier this summer.
Last we heard, MihTy was complete and 21 tracks in length. That was in December. Features are set to include French Montana, Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa and Maliibu Miitch. “We soakin’ the sheets up," Jeremih said of the project in an interview with the Cruz show. "For all the ladies, for all the fellas to ride to. This a little mixture of everything if you ask me. It’s R&B and hip-hop vibe." Here's hoping that it arrives sooner than later.
