Nicki Minaj seems to be going on a bit of an emotional roller coaster when it comes to Queen. The self-appointed Queen has been publicly airing grievances with just about any and every one that dares to cross her, whether by accident/coincidence/on purpose. It's all well and good in terms of promoting Queen, though, with her name never leaving the news cycle, either by way of tweets or her newly-launched radio show where she so graciously gives out "Cock Sucka of the Day" (and more) awards. One of her twitter rants resulted in an award of her own, bestowed upon her by Charlamagne Tha God: Donkey of the Day. Even so, Charlamagne says he fucks with the album, he just wants to Nicki to be happy with her own position and album performance. He calls her a "sore winner" on the most recent episode of The Brilliant Idiots.
This is all just some backstory for the song we have here. Paridson Fontaine is a still-up-and-coming Newburgh rapper, who you might be familiar with-- we premiered a couple of his music videos that are (still) definitely worth checking out, "Food Stamps" and "In the Field." He seems to be behind-the-scenes these days too, though, helping some of the biggest artists craft their own records. Thus, "Hard White" comes in. It appears on Nicki's new album, produced by Boi-1da and !llmind. As it turns out, Pardi had the record first. Charlamagne vouches for it, claiming he first heard the beat by way of Pardi. Today, Pardi is treating us to what he sounds like on the record -- and it's fire. He uses an entirely different flow than Nicki, proving he's got a style all of his own, and thusly giving the beat a refreshing spin.
The question now remains, whose version is more fire-y??? Nicki or Pardi? Cast your vote in the comments.
Keep an eye out for Pardi, it's looking to be his year.
Quotable Lyrics
In the no-smoking section with a huge blunt to lips
You can tell by how I walk that I'm who running shit
I don't really give a fuck, I'm from Newburgh and shit
Room full of white people, I'm like who sucking dick?
N*gga salute me or shoot me, give me dap or take aim
I'ma say what I want, I'm the rap Charlamagne
