Royce Da 5'9" dropped off one of the best albums of the year with Book of Ryan, and now he is giving one of the project's standout cuts the visual treatment. "Summer On Lock" stands out as one of the tracks on Book of Ryan that aims for a more energetic and fun vibe, which is a stark contrast to some of the more heavy material on the album. Royce enlists fellow lyricists Jadakiss, Pusha T, and Fabolous to the Summertime madness, and Agent Sasco lays down a catchy hook to compliment the banger.
The music video for "Summer On Lock" is directed by Walu, and the scenes alternate between a warehouse, the streets of Detroit, and green screen enabled backdrops of deserts and snowy mountain ranges. The obligatory expensive cars and beautiful women also make an appearance, completing the image of a gorgeous Summer.
