DJ Mustard has solidified himself as one of the best producers in the game right now. He has multiple hit records under his belt from collaborations to YG to Rich The Kid's "Dead Friends." However, the producer has also established himself as a touring artist. He's been booked for residencies in Las Vegas and performing for festival crowds during the summer season. However, it seems like one of his festival performances has landed him in some hot water.
DJ Mustard is being sued for allegedly pocketing $50K for a set without showing to perform at a festival, TMZ reports. The "Freaky Friday" producer is facing a lawsuit from Noque Touring after they said they hired Mustard to perform at Australia's Jumanji Festival in March.
The court documents claims Noque sent DJ Mustard his performance fee as well as arranging his transportation, accommodation and flight for the performance, but he never showed up. The suit says that on Mustard's performance date, he tweeted, "the business behind this show wasn't handled properly in time for me to make it there."
Noque is apparently calling him out for the tweet. Mustard's being sued for trashing their name and they want to get the money they paid him in addition to damages done. Hopefully, this will get settled at some point in the near future.
