Ferraro, the company who owns Nutella, publicly condemned this egregious and dangerous display. A spokesperson for the company reveals "we want to clarify that the decision for the special offer was taken unilaterally by Intermarche. The discount was said to last until Sunday, but many supermarkets ran out of stock almost instantly. However, not all retail spaces were transformed into a bloodbath, as many Intermarche locations reported that they did not experience such calamity from their respective clients.
