Listen to Bas' new single "Tribe" featuring J. Cole.

As reported last week, Bas is getting ready to release a new project this Friday called Milky Way, which is being led by the A$AP Ferg-assisted single “Boca Raton,” but before it arrives, the Dreamville rapper has one last record to share with us ahead of time, and it’s arguably the best yet. Announced last Thursday, Bas decides to come through today and share his anticipated collab with J. Cole called "Tribe," which is accompanied with a new music video as well.

Over the laid-back, strums of the acoustic guitar, Bas delivers a feel-good, island-vibe record that finds him showing off his rapid fire flows & slick wordplay, rapping about coming up with his crew & always being happy because of his girl. “I think I made it, I think I made it/ Cause I'm always smiling, and you are the reason now/ Girl, I can't explain it,” he spits on the hook. Meanwhile, Cole does what he always does, and that’s spit that lyrical heat, handling the second verse and showing off his various slick flows in the process.

As for the Scott Lazer-directed video, it finds the Dreamville rappers posted up in Miami’s Little Haiti neighborhood and soaking up the rays, while enjoying the culture of the “tribe.” Check out the new song & video and let us know what you think. Record available on iTunes.

Quotable Lyrics:

I'm hella faded, I'm hella faded
These niggas been hating I don't know the reason now
Sometimes I feel jaded
They don't see the real me
They only know Cole, they only know Co-ole
I had to get back, I had to resort to turning my back
I'm doing just that, true that
I thought He was through with me, but that wasn't true
The proof? You in the coupe with me

- J. Cole
