Gucci is giving back in a major way.

One of the leading and most popular retail brands in the world has made a generous donation of $500,000 to March For Our Lives. The organization was created by students who “will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings."

“We stand with March for Our Lives and the fearless students across the country who demand that their lives and safety become a priority,” the Italian fashion house tells WWD. “We have all been directly or indirectly impacted by these senseless tragedies.”

The organization will be marching the streets in Washington next month and the protest is of extra importance since the tragic Florida high school shooting that took place last week killing 17 and injuring 14.

“I am truly moved by the courage of these students,” Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele added. “My love is with them, and it will be next to them on March 24. I am standing with March for Our Lives and the strong young women and men across the United States who are fighting for their generation and those to come.”

The student survivors have been unapologetically vocal about the need for proper gun control, where they have since spoken with the President and had the chance to challenge the head of the NRA.
