Yesterday we gave you guys an update on Nelly's sexual assault allegations were two women came forward with more claims against the rapper. The victims, who were named in the same court document as Nelly's first accuser, Monique Greene, are described as being a mother in a committed relationship, while the other is a "young English mom who doesn’t want to be haunted by what happened to her."
Before these two new women came to be, Monique was trying to sue Nelly for allegedly raping her on his tour bus last year. Nelly's long-time girlfriend Shantel Jackson has finally released a statement on these accusations that she calls “false claims,” admitting that her man "fucked up."
"Those dates these Jane Doe’s [sic] are claiming, I was at those venues, in the dressing rooms, and on that tour bus,” she wrote in her Instagram post. “There are women dealing with real issues of sexual assault and for the first time people are listening and there is a chance for real change. But all of this work is discredited and makes things harder for survivors when people lie.”
The case that Monique was pursuing against Nelly fell through as she refused to cooperate. We'll keep you guys updated on the current case between the two Jane Doe's. Read Shantel's full statement below.
