Reebok's new silhouette draws on inspiration from the 1996 Pump EVO prototype.

Reebok has today unveiled a brand new sneaker dubbed the Sock Run.R, a unisex silhouette that draws on inspiration from the unreleased 1996 Pump EVO prototype. This week's release marks the first colorway out of four shoes to be released going into the Reebok's Fall/Winter campaign.

A trailblazing innovation for the sneaker market during its time, Reebok literally broke the mold with the Pump EVO, incorporating a deconstructed sole for a lighter, faster and more comfortable experience. According to Reebok, the design was a reaction to the monotonous sneaker market at the time and the brand’s commitment to splitting from convention and defy that norm.

With the release of the Sock Run.r, Reebok is re-introducing the split-cushioning technology for its contemporary silhouettes. The Sock Run.r’s upper features an all-over, black technical knit, with white text reading, “Not For Resale RBK Sample.”

This particular colorway of the Reebok Sock Run.r will be sold exclusively at Barneys on May 11th with a wider release to follow on May 18th at select retailers for $250.
