Today, our partnership with the honorable BigQuint (or BigQuint Indeed, if you're not into the whole brevity thing) continues, with yet another brand new first reaction video. Coming off installments like Mac Miller's triumphant return to the fold "Self Care," or Brockhampton's exuberant banger "1998 Truman," Quint returns with a look at the new Travis Scott, James Blake, Kid Cudi and Stevie Wonder slow-burner "Stop Trying To Be God." The clip is part of a new series between HNHH & BigQuint, in which the dynamic personality graces us with his inspired presence on the week's biggest drops.
BigQuint prefaces his reaction by admitting Travis started "kind of wonky" for him, but claims Rodeo helped solidify Scott a place on the radar. Upon queuing up "Stop Trying To Be God," Quint is immediately taken in by Kid Cudi's hypnotic hums, and even more enthused by Stevie Wonder's harmonica clinic. The big moment arises during the song's climax, in which James Blake's stellar vocals cause Quint to nearly spasm with excitement. "He got James Blake on this bitch!??!?!?" cries Quint, as Blake fills the speakers. As it crescendos, so too does Quint's hilarious facial expression. "I swear to God that better not be Stevie Wonder," moments before realizing it was, indeed, Stevie Wonder.
After completion, Quint's simple utterance expresses it all: "Holy shit." Upon breaking it down, Quint seems more than satisfied with this week's selection. He proceeds to slide into the comment section, breaking down thoughts from yeezari, laugeel, Hip-hop L delivery guy, and iam_zeuss.
