"Ok.. the live version is 100x better," writes one fan.

The Weeknd headlined day one of Coachella 2018, breaking out hits from throughout his career, as well as debuting some tracks from his recent chart-topping EP My Dear Melancholy,. "Wasted Times," "Hurt You" and Privilege" were among the selections from the new material, but the highlight came with the live incarnation of emotional opener "Call Out My Name." Performed third-to-last in the set, Abel delivered a stripped-down take on the song, accompanied solely by a guitar. His vulnerable vocal performance was applauded by fans. "Ok.. the live version is 100x better. You can truly feel the amount of passion and emotion Abel brings to these lyrics.. absolutely breathtaking," wrote one user on Twitter. Another attributed the heartfelt performance to Abel's recent breakup, a subject he seems to be pretty clearly addressing on the song: "Selena [Gomez] really broke this mans heart."

Check out some highlights from The Weeknd's performance, as well as the full setlist, below. My Dear Melancholy, recently became the shortest project to top the Billboard 200 in nearly eight years. Stream the EP here.
