SZA's Friday night set at Coachella 2018 brought out some big surprises. The R&B songwriter was joined by two of her TDE labelmates Kendrick Lamar and Isaiah Rashad, as well as buzzing Canton, Ohio rapper Trippie Redd towards the end of her set. Isaiah joined SZA for their Ctrl collaboration "Pretty Little Birds," while Kendrick appeared for "Doves In The Wind," and Black Panther soundtrack highlight "All The Stars." Trippie, on the other hand, performed his own hit "Dark Knight Dummo." Outside of the guest-heavy second half of the performance, SZA broke out fan favorites from her platinum-selling debut, including "Supermodel," "Broken Clocks," and "Drew Barrymore." She also did "Consideration," the opening track from Rihanna's ANTI which she appears on. The song was originally her own before going to Rih.
Kendrick Lamar also made a special appearance during Vince Staples' set earlier in the night. The two performed their Sophie-produced collaboration "Yeah Right" from Vince's 2017 album Big Fish Theory.
