Sunday nights on TBS will remain a great hour for rap fans. According to Deadline, Snoop Dogg's The Joker's Wild, and the Method Man co-hosted Drop The Mic, have each been renewed for a second season. The shows will keep their respective 10PM and 10:30PM time slots on Sunday nights.
The comedies reached an average of 2.7 million viewers per episode in their first season. Plus, the clips uploaded to YouTube have garnered over 250 million views.
The Joker's Wild, Snoop's favorite game show growing up which he rebooted for TBS has some big guests lined up for season 2. Ice Cube, Michael Strahan, RuPaul, Wiz Khalifa, Kevin Smith, Aubrey Plaza, Paris Jackson, Hannibal Buress, Busy Philipps, Adam Devine, Bill Nye, Xzibit, Biz Markie, G-Eazy, Cheech and Chong, Julian Edelman, Dana White, and Matthew McConaughey have all been confirmed.
As for Drop The Mic, which is a spin-off of James Corden's freestyle battle segment from his late-night show, upcoming matchups include Shaquille O’Neal vs. Ken Jeong, Luis Fonsi vs. Terry Crews, Molly Ringwald vs. Jon Cryer, Jerry Springer vs. Ricki Lake, Assassination of Gianni Versace star Darren Criss vs. Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo, Jay Pharaoh vs. Marlon Wayans, and Luis Guzman vs. Gabriel Iglesias.
Look for the shows to begin their second seasons on April 15th.
