Paul George admits he bled purple and gold prior to OKC trade.

Paul George aired his decision-making process in a three-part ESPN special titled My Journey. Many around the sport believed Paul George was as good as gone, given the fact he'd opted out of his player option. George is also a noted lifelong Lakers' fan, a proclivity he made public last season when he was first pondering his future. For all intents and purposes, the decision to stay in Oklahoma was one Paul George made with little hesitation. According to the man himself, it was Russell Westbrook leadership which won him over in the end.

"Aside from being one of the best human beings I’ve been around, (Russell Westbrook’s) approach to the game is what guys who want to be a part of and build something with. Russ is somebody I can win with and vice versa. So I think with this decision, that makes me much more comfortable knowing I got a shot and a real chance to win with one of the best players in the league," George revealed in his docu-series.

Of course, George and Westbrook are up against the wall, seeing as the team's salary cap situation is highly unbudgeable until next year when Melo's contract comes off the books. He admits he is happy living in Oklahoma, and honestly believes gives him the best shot moving forward. Hear him out before you lodge your complaints:
