Earl Sweatshirt will be releasing new music in 2018, according to a tweet from the rapper Sunday. "newchunes 2018, don't thinki wasn't at work," he wrote. Earl also shared some thoughts on the soon-to-be-over garbage fire that was 2017. Earl's third project I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside was released in 2015. In September, he previewed new music at Day N Night Fest. "The enemy comin' in by the drones / Don't give em control / My old issues on the back of the stove burner / Like coal in the caboose / You know the boy the truth," he can be heard rapping in a clip from the show.
Over the course of 2017, Earl has been hosting the "Stay Inside" radio show with Knxwledge on Red Bull Radio. In October, he announced his clothing line DEATHWORLD, which made its debut at Camp Flog Gnaw 2017. Earl provided the production for Mach-Hommy's November release Fete Des Morts AKA Dia De Las Muertos, which is being sold for $111.11 on Bandcamp. He also provided a beat to Wiki's No Mountains In Manhattan project.
