Maliibu Miitch is back with a new single called "Bum Bitch," and it's another hard-as-nails sample of the Bronx rapper's talents. As a New York traditionalist in many ways, the futuristic, shape-shifting production on the track pushes her tried-and-true bars forward, making for a track that's accessible to anyone from boom bap heads to the trap generation. More than anything, her ability to roast her rivals with hilarious and clever punchlines shines through here. According to the rapper herself, she's making an effort to preserve the classic style of New York rap attributed to late 90s acts like The Lox, but wants to apply it to more modern beats. So far, the formula is working. Last we heard, Miitch was working with Hitmaka on an EP. As an expert in R&B, the beatmaker should continue to challenge Miitch to make interesting choices.
Back in April, Miitch released the tough-talking ode to strippers "Give Her Some Money." Listen to it here.
Quotable Lyrics:
I'm the star athlete, you play the bench
You're like a brokedown car and I'm a wrench
I'm a spicy chicken tender dipped in ranch
You're just some overcooked bird that had no chance
