One of the hardest working rappers in the industry right now has to be 21 Savage as he consistently pops up in guest features and has released projects on a regular basis. In the last few years, we have been treated to an abundance of music from the street sensation as Savage Mode settled in in 2016 and Issa Album and Without Warning both arrived last year. As the rapper lends his voice to fellow musicians on feature spots, it is unclear what the Atlanta star has planned in terms of his next full-length project but the possibility for a Savage Mode sequel has always been up in the air.
It's possible that 21 has something in the works once again with Metro Boomin when considering his most recent tweet. Accompanied by three knife emojis, Savage declared the upcoming season "Savage summer," hinting that he has something in store for the warmer months. While 21 did not elaborate on what exactly will make the summer of 2018 so "Savage," it's possible that he means new music is on the way.
Having worked on features for FBG Duck and Offset in the last few weeks, 21 has been making the rounds as one of the most trusted voices in terms of guest spots. With Metro Boomin announcing his retirement from rap, it's very likely that we may never see a Savage Mode 2 project surface but we can hope, right?
