In the news of things going gold, both Lil Wayne and Ace Hood hit the 500,000 mark in sales recently.
Ace Hood and Future received a gold plaque from Birdman for Ace's infectious single "Bugatti" (which Wayne hopped on recently). The song will live on Ace Hood's upcoming album Trials & Tribulations. MTV was on hand when Birdman presented Ace with the plaque, and after receiving it the We The Best rapper said,"Seeing this plaque just reminds me of where I came from and where I'm going. It just feels good man."
Future, who is on the hook of "Bugatti," as well as producer Mike WiLL Made It were also on hand, although they too had no idea they'd be getting a plaque.
"It takes your breath away sometimes when you look at things like this plaque and knowing where you come from," Future said. "You start reminiscing about days when you were down and out."
In related news, Weezy F's I Am Not A Human Being II may not have been his best album to date, but it's been doing well enough, having just gone gold. The album sold 503,138 units in total sales this past week.
