Beyonce may be performing on the world's biggest stage at this year's Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans but The Roots will also be centerstage that day.
Besides recording their 13th studio album and their day job as the in-house band for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, it has been announced that The Roots, which is perhaps one of the hardest working bands in the business, will headline Rolling Stone magazine-hosted Jeep Heroes Tailgate.
In addition, drummer ?uestlove will also be rocking the one's and two's as the celebrity DJ for the event.
The festivities will take place at the Generation Hall from noon to 4PM on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3.
Tickets for the event can be purchased here.
The Roots are also scheduled to perform at their sixth annual Roots Picnic on June 1 at Festival Pier in Philadelphia. Although the full line-up has yet to be announced Joey Bada$$, Trinidad James, and Hit-Boy are a few of the confirmed artists set to hit the stage.
