The man of the hour speaks of his situation with Cash Money and why he told Drake to hold back on responding to Pusha T.

Earlier in the week, J Prince had placed an "OG call" to Drake in order to prevent him from continuing his beef with Pusha T. His reasoning behind halting the feud was that things were stooping to a "pigpen mentality," which would eventually damage people's lives. Yesterday, the Rap-a-Lot Records CEO confirmed that a Drake response exists, noting that he had the ammunition necessary to end careers. Potentially damaging Kanye West and Pusha T's lives to a point of no return, J Prince decided to step in and stop the entire beef, using his pull to influence Drizzy to keep his reply stashed. While we may never hear the track itself, J Prince stopped by The Breakfast Club to chat with Charlamagne, DJ Envy, and Angela Yee about the beef, as well as others aspects of his storied career.

J Prince noted that once people's families got involved in the music, he knew things would not end well. "We all from the hood, right," started Prince. "When you cross certain lines in the hood, fights, killings, different things take place and for a man to go there, like, I know Drake's dad, I know his mom, I know 40. If that had been kept between he and Drake, that's one thing, that's a level playing field but to take it there, that's a pigpen mentality."

On his relationship with Birdman, J Prince said that the two are currently working things out and that their financial differences are moving forward. It had been reported that Birdman owed Prince $12 million and had only paid $1 million of it. When discussing this issue, he clarified the discrepancies in the reports, stating, "I would have to say he paid more than a million. That's some business that's being talked about right now and it's actually moving along at a respectable pace." Watch the full interview below where he goes more into detail about his new memoir and the current situation with Drake and Pusha T.
