After four years of keeping fans on their toes, Nicki Minaj has officially released her fourth studio album Queen. The project was supposed to arrive next Friday after suffering a setback due to clearance issues, but Nicki decided to change things up on us and surprise us today instead. The 19-track project features guest appearances from Future, The Weeknd, Eminem, Swae Lee, Foxy Brown, and others.
"I didn't lie. This album is really my best, trust me," she said on her new Beats 1 show on Friday. "Whole way around.”
Looking to highlight one of the new records for y’all, here goes the song “Hard White.” Over production from Boi-1da & !llmind, Nicki calls out strippers-turned-rappers, making some fans believe she’s taking aim at Cardi B here. “I ain’t never played a hoe position/ I ain’t ever have to strip to get the pole position/ Hoes is dissin'? Okay, these hoes is wishin’/ You’re in no position to come for O’s position” she spits. However during her Beats 1 show, Nicki revealed that she recorded the song in early 2017 around the same time “No Frauds,” so that pretty much debunks the rumor that its about Cardi since she wasn't poppin’ back then, but who knows maybe it's a cover up.
Take a listen for yourself and let us know what you think. Queen available now on iTunes.
Quotable Lyrics:
I'm the trophy of the game, everybody tryna win me
Me, Olivier, Jourdan Dunn, my baby, Winnie
Partying in Paris, these bitches is embarassed
'Cause they know I'm the queen, I still didn't pick an heiress
Mirror, mirror, who's the fairest?
You the motherfucking fairest, Nicki
What I drop on this watch?
I don't know, about a hundred-fifty
I'm who they wishin' to be
These hoes is on the 'Gram, Nicki pitchin' the ki'
'Bout to cop Neverland, Michael up in the tree
You got bars and still broke? You might as well took the plea
