Erykah Badu has been all over the headlines these past 24 hours for her comments made about Adolf Hitler and finding the good in him/everyone. "I don’t even know what anti-Semitic was before I was called it. I’m a humanist. I see good in everybody. I saw something good in Hitler,” she said in an interview with Vulture. When she was asked what "good" Hitler brought to the table, Badu said he was "a wonderful painter.” This, along with a few more controversial comments made about Bill Cosby & Farrakhan, quickly went viral and became the talking point for many people on twitter Wednesday (see here ICYMI).
In fact, the comments drew the attention of the Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt, who decided to slam Badu on Twitter for her remarks, calling them "irresponsible and misguided.” He even suggests Badu immediately apologize too, but it doesn't look like that'll be happening anytime soon. Following the public outcry, Badu took to Twitter to respond to the backlash herself, suggesting that the media likes using "trigger words" to make controversy and drive clickbait. See Badu’s response as well (below), and let us know your thoughts. Should Badu apologize or no?
